Terms of Use

Last updated 26 Oct 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Daftar. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read the Privacy Policy.

What Daftar is

Daftar is a record-keeping and messaging tool. It helps you keep a list of people who pay you regularly, prepare payment requests and reminders that you send over WhatsApp, give each payer a private link to tell you they have paid, and record payments you receive.

Daftar does not handle money

Daftar does not hold, receive, transfer or guarantee money, and it is not a bank or payment service. Payments go directly from the payer’s bank to yours over CliQ. Daftar does not see your bank accounts and cannot check whether a payment arrived. Always confirm payments in your own banking app.

“I’ve paid” is a claim, not a confirmation

When someone taps “I’ve paid” on their payment page (or, if automatic messages are turned on in the future, in a WhatsApp message), Daftar tells you that they say they have paid. It is only a claim. A payment is recorded only when you confirm it. Check your bank before confirming.

Your account

You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

Permission to message people

You may only add people who owe you money under a real arrangement, and only if they have agreed to receive payment messages from you on WhatsApp. You must not use Daftar to:

If automatic messages are turned on in the future and someone replies STOP, Daftar stops automatic messages to them. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or WhatsApp’s policies.

Payment disputes

Any disagreement about what is owed or paid is between you and the other person. Daftar is not a party to your arrangements and is not liable for payment disputes, missed or late payments, or mistakes in the records you enter.

The service

We work to keep Daftar available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. It may sometimes be unavailable, and messages may be delayed or not delivered, and the payment page may sometimes be unavailable (for example if WhatsApp or our hosting is down, or a number is wrong). Keep your own records of important payments; you can export your data at any time.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Daftar is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by payments, messages, or information you enter. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Jordanian law that cannot be limited.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why when we can.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will tell you in the app before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Questions: cibe@getdaftarapp.com
